Movement of the Self

Motion is Lotion

As I'm getting older, there are days when I feel it more than others. It might be that one stretch that pulled something, or still feeling sore longer than it used to last.

One thing I've tried to do (as someone who works remotely and at a desk a lot) is at least stretch, especially opening up my shoulders and helping with hip mobility. Now that I'm in a larger apartment I have more space to move around, although there are still neighbors downstairs.

I found this account recently and love watching how he enjoys the movement along with the exercise itself:

Not a fan of Meta/IG's tracking but trying to make it easy for people to see this:

It's also a great reminder to move, even a little. Anything more than you're doing now is an improvement. Another great account is John Noel - YouTube. He makes movement more accessible and his approach is relief from the fitness influencer "just do" take. Unfortunately YouTube Shorts isn't easy to embed so I'll just link an example here:

I've been relating more to movement and flexibility over lifting or going to the gym. Finding ways to keep from waking up sore or stiff is very welcome.
