Spring-ing Time

Green Outside, Please

Ahh, the end of winter. This is about the time of year (see Seeing Some Green Outside for reference) when I'm pretty done with the dreary gray and dirty snow. It's nice to start seeing buds on the trees and not bracing myself as much for going outside after the sun sets.

It's a cycle of change and growth which hits a little harder this year. I'm in my own cycle of change and growth, with plenty of unknowns that will eventually sort out - waiting is the hard part, especially without a plan for some of it.

We had the single-digit (Fahrenheit) temperatures in January and February, then the "hey Spring is here, just kidding!" days mid-March. A few days getting into upper 60s (20-21C) and sunny, then dips back down to winter temps for a bit.

We're just coming back out of that now and it can't happen soon enough. I had some good walks on snowy trails over the winter and the quiet peace from it is lovely. I need green and growth and even the allergy season isn't a deterrent.

It's also a chance to change and break cycles. More light, more outside time, better sleep. Even though my life is very different than the last time I wrote about this, the underlying sentiment is still there.
