Curbly.com LogoI joined Curbly a while ago, checked out a few things, and went on my way. It was a cool site, filled with people who do it themselves, from remodeling to construction to design, big and small. Since I'm in an apartment, I felt like I didn't have much to contribute.

Over the last month or so, I've gone back and started reading more, and commenting on the articles and posts there. It's a small community, but very active and willing to share. It's a welcoming place, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to get ideas or share their own with a group of people who like the DIY thing - interior design, home improvement, architecture, etc.

Well, in all honesty (and, of course, no pun intended...) I've never really been a "Do It Yourself" kind of girl. I've reiterated (on more than one occasion) that I am domestically challenged travel insurance, and so crafty or artsy pursuits have never exactly been on the top of my To Do List.

But lately I've been feeling a little more and more domestic. (I blame it on the fact that I am still searching for a job and I have far more free time on my hands than I have ever had before...)

Therefore, I decided that I would try out a couple of DIY projects. You know...Just to see how they turned out mortgage calculator.

And, I must admit that I have been pleasantly surprised.

So far, none have been monumental FAILS! In fact, a couple of them have even been what I would deem to be SUCCESSES. So, because it's Friday, I decided to share a couple of them with you... health insurance

Project #1:
Repainting Furniture!

As I've told you before, DGC and I plan on living in his bachelor pad after we get married. However, I hope that by the time May rolls around, his midtown condo will be much less of a bachelor pad...and much more of an edgy, urban dwelling place real estate. The new dining room update received such warm reviews that I decided it was time to move into a new room -- the den.
