What to do, what to do...

It's time for another decision: what CMS to use?

I've been using Drupal for a while (and have talked about switching before), but not sure if it's right for how I want to work. Then again, I haven't checked out what they're offering lately, so they'll stay in the mix.

I'm looking for a way to consolidate all the stuff I have all over the Internet, between status updates and postings and aggregators... maybe something like Channel Dvorak.

Although I would like to use something like Plone or Django, I'm sticking with the very cheap hosting I've been using. Maybe someday when I have real content that people pay for...

Drupal could still be good, I just have to get back into the guts and prepare myself to put a theme and template together. There's also ModX, which might be a little easier to work with at first. I've used Website Baker in the past, and it could be good... of course there's the hand-coding-roll-your-own option (which would be css-php-MySQL most likely), but I don't think that's going to happen either.

What's your CMS of choice?

want to see this movie

I haven't read the graphic novel, but I want to. If anyone wanted to send me a copy, I'm willing to receive it.

I saw the "quick" trailer a few months ago, but after this, I *really* can't wait to see it.

Trailer 2 for Watchmen at Listal

phishing explained, in plain english

Apparently I've become a video re-poster.

This is something that anyone who knows "less technical" people should share... which means that if you're not a technical person, that *you* are the one who should watch this.

mythbusters video: cpu vs. gpu

yet another reason why mythbusters is awesome.

This was at Nvision, and they demonstrate... well, you just need to watch.

So, where can I get one of those setups?

yes, that is bad drainage

Just like this site says, drainage fail.

Make sure to watch the whole thing, it's worth seeing what happens.

it's bacon wrapped around mac and cheese?

count me in on that action.

Paula Deen is awesome enough with the "and a stick of buttah" in almost everything she makes. This time she ups the ante with bacon... wrapped around mac and cheese. Oh yeah, and it's fried. Awesomeness.

PS - anyone know of a home arterioplasty kit?

in the whole wide room

This one goes out to all the ladies.

I know I've posted a lot of videos lately, but I want to share them here, as opposed to the multitude of other sites I'm a part of and post to. Is anyone really paying attention, or should I just keep doing what I'm doing?

face-off for friday

It's Friday, and we need something else to do, right?

DL's 1st Avatar on FYMI received a couple of files over Pownce of avatars created by various people, and decided to make one of my own (as I'm sure plenty of others have done). For the few of you who have actually seen what I look like, how'd I do?

It's from Face Your Manga, and it's pretty fun. Yes, it's another "make yourself into..." site, like the Simpson's Character Generator and the South Park character generator (among others). It also feel a little "Mii"-like, but that's ok. I don't have a Wii yet.

I'd like to see more of them... So make one, save it somewhere, then post the picture for everyone to see. Flickr works well for this, from what I've seen. Good luck, and have fun.

which side of the force is that?

Apparently, the Dark side has some moves.

judy's magic cast-on is, well, magic

Judy's Magic Cast-On seems to elude me.

It's not that I don't get it, it's just that I can't seem to get it to work the way I think it should. I searched for videos on it, and it's tough because I'm using DPNs instead of circular needles. The video below is the closest, but I still feel like I'm missing something.

Once I've done a few of the rows, I feel like it should be pulling together with the increases, but it still looks flat to me. Anyone care to offer advice?
